Jacob
Jacob Fletcher
Interested in horses at a young age, Jacob was 6 years old when he ran his first event. It was not until Jacob started training with Mike Huber that his hobby transformed into a passion. Jacob spent the summers from 2009-2013 in Texas and immersed himself in the sport. The summers always ended in a climax - the NAJYRC. The time was well spent and in 2011 Jacob won both team and individual silver at the NAJYRC CCI**.
Under Mike Huber, Jacob began developing a riding style and was named to the 2013 U25 List with The Prof. Jacob and The Prof began competing in their first 3 stars in 2013 but when The Prof was diagnosed with a rare cancer, Jacob decided to pack up his bags and moved to England.
After finding a new group of horses with Susie Pragnell in England and Yvonne Monahan in Ireland, Jacob based himself with Australian Eventer Kevin McNab. Under Kevin’s watchful eye, Jacob worked diligently developing his string of horses. He finished out the year with some notable finishes throughout England and Ireland before returning home to finish his degree.
Jacob returned to the states with his string in November 2014 and settled back into his studies at the U of A to finish his undergraduate degree in Entrepreneurship. In 2015 he was once again named to the U25 list and had his biggest win to date at the Adequan Gold Cup American Eventing Championships aboard Atlantic Domino.
Jacob finished his degree at the University of Arkansas in 2016 while overseeing the development of the team’s new facility in Cabot, Arkansas. He has since been repeatedly named to the U25 list and is excited to see what the future holds!!
